Super-Sod® Trees is a division of Patten Seed Company, a proven green industry leader with over 50 years of experience in providing premium quality products and superior service.

Super-Sod® Trees products are container grown and thus easier to handle, faster to install and quicker to establish in the landscape. Once planted, Super-Sod® Trees nursery products experience minimal planting shock because the root system is planted intact, as opposed to being severely pruned as in "ball and burlap" and field dug trees. Less shock means greater success and fewer callbacks.

To provide our customers with super quality plant material and super service all the while upholding the principles of high integrity for which Patten Seed Company has been known for over 50 years.

We are always looking for new and better ways to grow superior quality plant material. The use of humate, incorporated into our potting mix, provides soil conditioners and stimulates microbial activity, thereby giving a dramatically quicker upstart with faster maturity. It also creates a healthy, deep green appearance, provides denser roots, thicker branches, more lateral growth and makes for a more vibrant, robust plant that withstands the rigors of handling and shipping. Another added benefit is that our containers are coated with "Spin Out®" which greatly reduces root circling in the containers and promotes a more fibrous root system. Our containerized trees can be planted year round, are not dependent upon weather conditions and experience no transplant shock due to the lack of a fibrous root system. At the time your Super-Sod® Trees nursery tree or shrub is ready to be planted it will be well on its way to a strong and vigorous part of your landscape.

SOIL3 humus compost makes a great soil enhancer by blending with soil before being returned to the newly planted tree or shrub. SOIL3 provides a natural slow release source of essential nutrients, improves soil structure to enhance faster rooting and longer plant life while increasing vital soil organic matter.
