Crape Myrtle

Crape Myrtle ( botanical name - Lagerstoemia ) is deciduous and grows to a mature size of 9 by 10 feet. This understory tree enjoys sun and provides dark purple red fall color. The Crape Myrtle flowers in late June-September with white blooms. It normally has a medium drought tolerance and a low growth rate when planted in zone 7b-9.
