Tulip Poplar or Tulip Tree ( botanical name - Liriodendron tulipifera ) is deciduous and grows to a mature size of 80-100 feet tall by 30-50 feet wide. This canopy tree enjoys partial shade and provides yellow to yellow brown fall color. The Poplar flowers in late spring with greenish yellow blooms. It normally has a medium drought tolerance and a fast growth rate when planted in zone 5-9a.
