Sometimes confused with hemispherica, laurel oak looks much the same but leaves are strapped shaped. Grows to be roughly the same size.

nuttallii ~ 'Nuttall Oak' Large native tree growing up to 70' in height. Often confused with Shumard Oak. Fall color is scarlet to red.

Pyramidal shape in youth gives way to rounded canopy in old age. Willow-like leaves create dense shade. Widely used as a street tree, in parks, and as a shade tree.
